Scientists named a prehistoric bristle worm in honor of King Diamond.

This exclusive silver pendant is available in limited editions. The fearsome jaw of the Kingnites diamondi pendant is a limited release, with only twenty pieces in existence.

When scientists discover a new species, they get the right to name it.

Most kids know names like Tyrannosaurus rex and Triceratops. Only a few are aware of names like Kingnites diamondi and Drepanoistodus Iommii. Let's change that!

A subculture of heavy metal-loving scientists names new species after their rock heroes.

In 2013 this crossover from rock and science became the beginning of ROCK FOSSILS, a touring exhibition of prehistorical spices named after rockstars.

The exhibition Rock Fossils on Tour has been on the road for over a decade, showcasing incredible models of these real-life monsters of rock. And what's a rock show without merch? In addition to beers and T-shirts, we have started a jewelry series. So far, we have turned the King Diamond and Tony Iommi fossils into silver. Next in line are Lemmy Kilmister from Motorhead, Angus Young from AC/DC, Ronnie James Dio, Sid Vicious and many more.

Join us for a unique journey into the prehistoric world of rock legends – where science and rock'n'roll collide!

Not only the new audience find interest in Rock Fossils on Tour. Even the biggest rock stars on the planet are thrilled to have their names carved in the bedrock of scientific naming - The Nomenclature.

Several heavyweights from the world of rock music were personally involved in the event, including Tony Iommi from

Black Sabbath, Rolling Stones, Motörhead's Lemmy Kilmister, Mark Knopfler, King Diamond, Bad Religion's Greg Graffin,

along with Arch Enemy, Accept, folk-metal band Eluveitie, thrash-metal legends Tankard and black-metal kings Rotting Christ.
