Immerse yourself in a ritualistic cleansing experience with this Cthulhu-inspired Corpse Paint Soap bar. This design is gently scented with pine and eucalyptus essential oils and colored with activated charcoal. Each soap is individually and carefully handcrafted at my studio in Salo, Finland.

This design is inspired by the enigmatic Cthulhu monster from H.P. Lovecraft’s novels. Launched in 2018, it has become a cornerstone of the Corpse Paint Soaps collection, captivating fans of gothic and Lovecraftian aesthetics.

This design was originally initiated by The Convalescence band. The design was especially inspired by they vocalist Keith Wampler who uses unique Cthulhu-like corpse paint on stage!

Ingredients

This soap is handmade with a glycerin-rich and 100% plant-based soap base. The soap is partially colored with activated charcoal and gently scented with a blend of pine and eucalyptus essential oils.

Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal is a highly absorbent ingredient, making it excellent for skin and pore cleansing. In addition to being a great natural colorant for my soaps, it also functions as an effective pore-cleansing agent!

Glycerin

Glycerin is an important moisturizer in skincare products. Corpse Paint soaps are rich in glycerin, making them less drying for the skin compared to regular market soaps. Some of our customers have even found relief for their chronic dry hands thanks to Corpse Paint soaps!

Pine Essential Oil

Pine essential oil has a refreshing, woody scent that evokes the serenity of evergreen forests. It is known in aromatherapy for its stress-relieving and mood-enhancing properties. In skincare, pine oil helps to purify, tone, and refresh the skin.

Eucalyptus Essential Oil

Eucalyptus essential oil has a fresh, invigorating scent with a cooling effect. It is often used in skincare for its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it ideal for soothing irritated skin. In aromatherapy, eucalyptus oil enhances focus and reduces fatigue.

How to Make Your Cthulhu-Inspired Soap Last Longer

To extend the life of your pine and eucalyptus-scented art soap, store it on a dry surface or a well-drained soap dish. Avoid exposing it to direct sunlight or high temperatures to maintain its quality and design.

Does a Soap Bar Expire? Can It Be Decorative or Should I Use It Right Away?

The moisturizing qualities, silky lather, and refreshing pine and eucalyptus fragrance of this Cthulhu soap are at their peak when fresh. Over time, if unused and exposed to air, its functional aspects and scent may gradually diminish (typically after six months or more). The soap may also shrink slightly in size.

For best results, I recommend using the soap shortly after removing the protective film. However, if you prefer to keep it as a decorative piece in your bathroom, it will retain its dark allure as long as it’s kept dry and away from heat or sunlight. Even if you decide to use it years later, the soap will still be effective—just a bit harder and less moisturizing than at its prime.

To ensure your activated charcoal-infused, Cthulhu-inspired soap arrives in perfect condition, each bar is sealed in airtight plastic wrap. Please recycle the plastic responsibly with other plastic packaging materials or as energy waste.
