Solar Cross Petroglyph - PIN
One of the most common and recurring symbols in the Scandinavian landscape, depicted as petroglyphs, is the ancient solar cross or sun wheel. Obviously, an important symbol that had great value to my swedish ancestors, still echoes from the past, in its most simple and stylized form.
The photos is taken at the Hemsta petroglyph site here in Sweden. A truly magical and astonishing place to visit, dated back to the Bronze Age.
