SORT VEJFEST 2025 – Bigger, Louder, and Even More Us
By Kit & Emil, with love from the shop
If 2024 was our debut, 2025 was our coming of age. SORT VEJFEST doubled in size - over 1,000 people filled Sønder Boulevard, and the energy was off the charts. Our volunteer team was sharper than ever, the bar was fuming and all surplus was divided between the bands. That’s solidarity in action, and it’s what our non-profit festival SORT VEJFEST is all about.
We’re still buzzing from the lineup: Omsorg from Aalborg, Spøgelse from Gothenburg, Ædel Fetich and S.O.L from Copenhagen, Hudsult from Aarhus, and a killer Basement afterparty with Discokollaps, Demersal, Sloevsind, and Vrazorth from Stockholm. The music was loud, raw, and real - just the way we like it.
But what really fills our hearts is the community – which contributes and hells us. Muve once again lent us their mobile stage. Our neighbors at number 90 opened their doors for backstage again, Khioshk kept the bands and volunteers fed, Dry & Bitter and Liquid Death made sure no one went thirsty, and Julehjælpen’s popcorn sales supported a great cause, which is to provide Christmas food and gifts to families in need. Bands ran their own merch tables. It was a true team effort.
We saw so many familiar faces, but also lots of new ones - families, friends, neighbors, and plenty of folks who just happened to wander by and decided to stay. That’s the magic of SORT VEJFEST: everyone is welcome, and everyone belongs.
After the festival, we gathered with our volunteers for a big evaluation meeting. We shared stories, laughs, and ideas for next year. Every bit of feedback helps us make SORT VEJFEST even better. We’re proud of how professional the festival has become.
SORT VEJFEST 2025 was more than just a party. It was proof that when we come together as a community, we can create something truly special. We’re already dreaming about 2026, and we can’t wait to see you all there.
With love, music, and endless gratitude, Kit & Emil (and everyone at the shop)
